Mark Gardner
President and CEO
Mark Gardner was named President and CEO of Sappi Fine Paper North America in 2007 and is responsible for leading all Sappi operations in the region. That same year, he was also appointed to the Board of SFPNA. He joined Sappi in 1981, and his experience includes serving as the Vice President of Manufacturing and Vice President of Supply Chain. Mark has also worked in a variety of production management roles, including Production Manager at the Westbrook Mill; Paper Mill Manager at the Somerset Mill; Managing Director at the Muskegon Mill and Director of Engineering and Manufacturing Technology at the regional head office in Boston. He has a B.S. in Industrial Technology from the University of Southern Maine.
Anne Ayer
Vice President, Corporate Development and Chief Information Officer
Anne Ayer was named Chief Information Officer in 2009 subsequent to her appointment as Vice President of Corporate Development in 2006. She oversees Sappi Fine Paper North America’s information technology and works closely with the business leadership to develop the region’s strategic direction, including evaluating acquisition and divestiture and investment opportunities and identifying profit improvement opportunities. Her experience at Sappi includes serving as Director of Corporate Development and Assistant to the CEO, and Director of Strategic Initiatives. Anne joined Sappi in 1996 from the Monitor Company, a strategic consulting firm. She has an M.B.A from Stanford University and a B.A. in Psychology from Harvard.
John Donahue
Vice President, Manufacturing
John Donahue became the Vice President of Manufacturing in 2007 and is responsible for North American coated operations. John has over 29 years of manufacturing experience in the paper industry and has spent most of his career at Sappi, joining in 1982. John has worked in technical, product quality and manufacturing operations at Sappi and his previous roles include serving as the Managing Director of Operations at the Somerset and Westbrook Mills. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a fifth year Pulp & Paper certificate from the University of Maine.
Bob Forsberg
Vice President, Sales and Business Development
Bob Forsberg became the Vice President of Sales and Business Development in October 2005 and is responsible for the development and execution of the North American sheet and web paper sales strategy. He began his career as a Sales Representative with S.D. Warren in 1985 and has served in a variety of positions in Sales and Marketing, including Regional Sales Manager, Atlanta; Category Director, Utility Brands and Catalog Segment; and most recently, Regional Sales Manager, Mid-Atlantic. He has a B.A. in Economics and Art History from Bowdoin College.
Annette Luchene
Vice President, Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Annette Luchene was named Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer in 2004, subsequent to her appointment as Vice President of Finance in 2000, and is responsible for the entire finance operation of the North American division. Prior to these roles, she served as Director of Finance. Annette joined Sappi in 1996, after spending 10 years with Packaging Corporation of America, a division of Tenneco and Ply Gem Industries, where she worked in various accounting and finance positions. She has an M.B.A. from Loyola University of Chicago and a B.S. in Accounting from Northern Illinois University.
Sarah Manchester
Vice President, Human Resources and General Counsel
Sarah Manchester commenced leading the Human Resources Group in December 2006 and has led the Legal Department since 2002. She is responsible for all human resources, labor relations and legal issues faced by the company, including management of intellectual property and government affairs. Sarah joined Sappi in 1997 from the Boston law firm, Ropes & Gray. She has a B.A. in History from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Cornell Law School.
Jennifer Miller
Executive Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Communications
Jennifer Miller was named Executive Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Communications in 2004 and is responsible for the profitable growth of the coated paper business for Sappi Fine Paper North America. She manages the marketing business plans, including customer and brand strategies, to meet product margin goals for the Company. Jennifer was named an Executive Vice President in 1999, the same year she was named to the Board of SFPNA, and has held a variety of business positions since then. She joined the Company in 1996 as Vice President and General Counsel. Before joining Sappi, she served as Vice President - Rates and General Counsel for Boston Gas. She has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Washington and a J.D. from Cornell Law School.
Randy Rotermund
Vice President, Supply Chain
Randy Rotermund joined Sappi as Vice President of Supply Chain in 2006 and is responsible for overseeing procurement and the order fulfillment process, including raw materials delivery, customer service, operations planning, and logistics. Prior to this position, Randy was the Director of Logistics for Sappi and was responsible for the day-to-day management of transportation and warehousing operations, including the central logistics group, operational and financial forecasting, and transportation planning and management systems. Before joining Sappi, Randy served as Global Director of Purchasing for WR Grace. He has an M.B.A. from Babson College and a B.S. from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Bob Weeden
Vice President, Release and Technical Specialties Businesses
Bob Weeden was named Vice President of the Release and Technical Specialties Businesses in 2006 and is responsible for leading the development and the successful execution of profitable growth within the two Businesses. He manages the sales, marketing and manufacturing organizations within the Release Business. Bob joined S.D. Warren in 1974 and has held various positions in R&D, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing, including VP of Research and Development, VP of the Commercial Printing Business and VP/General Manager of Sappi's North American Web Business.
